Wainscoting is the time-honored tradition borrowed from
Europe of lining the
lower portions of walls with wood. Usually found in hallways,
dining rooms and
foyers it is an attractive addition to staircases which
can be finished showcasing
the natural wood or painted to coordinate with one’s
décor.
