APRON

 

UPEASING -

a rail fitting which curves upward changing the angle or direction of the handrail. This is the first part of a gooseneck, but may also be found at the beginning of a rake rail section allowing the rail to start level and then transition to the rake rail. For example - the marriage of a volute to a rake rail. See photo for specific detail.
