APRON

OVER-THE-POST (OTP) and/or POST-TO-POST (PTP)

handrail system choices represent for the most part - a personal preference. However, there are times when one should be chosen over the other. For example, if you want a bullnose starting step with a volute then OTP style should be chosen because a volute is a fitting designed for OTP applications and installations. When making the choice between the two, it is highly recommended that consistency prevail and the application is used throughout the stair and/or house.
